World Hapiness Report

Background

The World Happiness Report, released annually, evaluates countries according to diverse factors associated with happiness and well-being. With Scandinavian countries often topping the list, I decided to delve deeper into the specific factors considered and their distribution across other geographical regions.

By creating an interactive dashboard, users can explore the nuances of happiness across countries and continents and delve into the underlying metrics shaping well-being.

Interesting Findings

  • 4 out of the top 5 happiest countries are Scandinavian countries, these countries include: Finland, Denmark, Iceland and Norway
  • Singapore tops the list for both Healthy Life Expectancy at Birth and Perceptions of Corruption (Least corrupt). Making it the only contry to top more than one metric.
  • At least one European country appears in the top 5 of each metric apart from Generosity
