World Ports
Background
In an era marked by unprecedented globalization and interconnected economies, maritime transportation plays a pivotal role in facilitating international trade.
The primary objective of this project was to create a user-friendly and informative dashboard that offers a holistic view of worldwide port activities. This includes tracking vessels in port, arrivals (last 24 hours), departures (last 24 hours) and expected arrivals.
Interesting Findings
- China leads with 34K+ vessels in port. Nearly six times greater than its closest competitor, the United States, which has 5,853 vessels.
- Almost 30% of all Departures and Arrivals(last 24 hours) within Europe comes from Netherlands.
- The average Expected Arrivals in Africa is 58.17, nearly three times higher than North America's average of 22.07.
